CERES-CERtification of Environmental Standards GmbH

CERtification Environmental Standards GmbH (Germany) is an international inspection and certification body for organic food, organic & sustainably produced textiles, GLOBALG.A.P., sustainability of food, as well as sustainable management for any kind of producer or service provider.
CERES is part of the EASY-CERT group AG together with Austria Bio Garantie GmbH, agroVet GmbH and bio.inspecta AG.

EASY-CERT group AG coordinates and organises the international activities of all partners, thus providing a platform for a joint presence.
CERES is active in over 60 countries worldwide (primarily Latin America, Africa and Asia) with around 40 partner and subsidiary companies, opening up the market to its customers with a wide range of standards in the areas of organic (EU organic, NOP, USCOEA, JAS etc.), sustainability (RA, GG etc.) and textiles (GOTS, OCS etc.).
We work locally with well-trained and independent employees who receive regular training. We continuously improve our quality management. We treat all customers equally and impartially. We are open to new ideas and suggestions for improvement. We have clear processes in place to avoid conflicts of interest and bribery.

SRS Certification GmbH

SRS Certification GmbH is a German certification body. Its staff has 10-20 years of experience in agricultural research, teaching, organic inspection and certification. SRS has set up a strong Chinese-German partnership, with representatives in several regions of China.

Bundesverband der Öko-Kontrollstellen e. V. (BVK) represents the organic inspection bodies.

The organic inspection bodies in BVK association are state-approved in accordance with the EU- and the Swiss Organic Farming Regulation.

BVK-members carry approx. 90% of all German organic inspections out.

We ensure the credibility of organic farming by further developing and harmonizing the inspection procedures. We keep the official register of controlled companies in organic farming.

GfRS

GfRS has been a leading certification body for organic production since 1991. Our innovative team comprises 25 staff members and 50 inspectors, who hold different qualifications.

It is our conviction that we dedicate our work to the field of organic certification and other reliable sustainability standards.

We stand for transparency and credibility

Our highly motivated team engages in the improvement of the quality assurance for agriculture products and food. The effective implementation of credible standards is of utmost priority to us. International communication with control bodies and accreditation bodies as well as with authorities belongs to our daily tasks.

Think global – certify local

GfRS-experts proves to have long-standing international experience on all levels of quality infrastructure. The implementation of effective and risk-oriented certification programs is one of our core competences.

Our inspection and certification services are limited to the member states of the European Union, currently Austria, Germany and Luxemburg.

GfRS is a founding member of the Quavera Alliance, an international alliance of certification bodies in the organic sector. Quavera members currently offer more than one hundred food and feed safety and sustainability certification programs under a system designed to achieve global market acceptance.

GfRS is proud to be long-standing member of EOCC. We support EOCC through participation in WG Regulation, TF Cross Checks, TF Competence of organic inspectors and TF Risk Assessment. We believe firmly that EOCC may deliver a convincing, strong and common position of control bodies to the organic sector.

We think outside the box

Be it within the context of national research and development projects, amongst them the German Federal Program for Organic Farming or EU programs, we are committed to the further development of effective and credible certification programs. Hereby, we can profit from the up-to-date know-how of the GfRS certification team.
