EOCC contribution on TRACES

EOCC created a Platform on TRACES in spring 2015 in order to monitor regulatory developments for the introduction of electronic certificates of import for organic products and to develop proposals for a system which would be suitable for its first users, namely control bodies.

 

This contribution offers a feedback on the TRACES test-phase. EOCC generally welcomes the introduction of eletronic certificates of import but considers that some conditions have to be met to develop a performant and reliable tool.
