Founded in 1974 in Oregon, USA, Oregon Tilth Certified Organic (OTCO) currently certifies a total of 2,143 operations, which produce on 2,137,622 organically-certified acres in the US and Latin America.

Currently, OTCO maintains accreditation and direct compliance to (9) governmental & private standards, through which OTCO’s clients may be certified across the globe including but not limited to USDA NOP, SENASICA LPO, IACB EU, GOTS, NSF-ANSI 305 and Bee Better.

As a nonprofit organization, OTCO invests 15 percent of its certification fees to advocate, educate and build a sustainable marketplace through key partnerships in education with organizations like the Oregon State University and the USDA Natural Resources Conservations Services, as well as participation as members in advocacy groups like the US National Organic Coalition, the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, the North American chapter of IFOAM as well as the Mexico National Council for Organic Production, amongst many others to advance the sustainability of agriculture, food systems, natural resources, and rural communities in the U.S and Mexico.
