MAYACERT promotes for 20 years, the services of voluntary certification for small, medium and big agricultures, industries, and exporters, from all Latin America.

Mayacert was officially constituted in August 1997 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. In 1999, Mayacert achieved its first accreditation of ISO 65. Mayacert began to work in Guatemala with plans to expand towards Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, certifying organic production operations, with products such as vegetables, coffee, cardamom, and bee honey.

Mayacert’s headquarters are currently in Guatemala, but it also has coverage and local certifications in Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Peru. In 2019, its first office within the Asian continent, opened in Sri Lanka. Today Mayacert is accredited by DAkkS Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (German accreditation body) in compliance with the European Regulations on organic production and ISO 17065, National Organic Program/United States Department of Agriculture (NOP/USDA). Among other local and international certifications, such as JAS Organic, Biosuisse Organic, Kraw Organico, Organic Food Colombia, SAGARPA MEXICO Organic, SENASA Peru Organic, Organic audits MAFRA of Korea (Alliance with Doalnara Certified Organic Korea, LLC).
